A small business website costs £900-£3,000, depending on how much research, content and custom work goes into it.
Running it costs about £100 a year for hosting and a domain - no licence fees, no commission, nothing per booking.
If you want me looking after it, plans start at £49 a month.

Build
Pay once, then it's yours
| Essential build Design, build, mobile, speed, basic SEO, Google profile linked, and you are trained to run it. | £900-£1,800 |
| Market-first build Everything in Essential, plus a teardown of the top five rivals in your town, a design built for you rather than picked from a shelf, photography and copy produced, and a launch push - profile live, socials populated, first month of posts, rankings work started. | £1,500-£3,000 |
| Online shop | £1,800-£4,500 |
| Second language Per language. | £300-£600 |
| Specialist shoot day I shoot the everyday stuff myself. When it needs a specialist, I bring one in - you still deal only with me. A free referral instead, if you would rather deal direct. | £250-£450 |
You'll own everything. Domain, hosting, code, content. Leave anytime - nobody leaves.

Run
What a month costs
This is the part most designers do not sell you, and the part that decides whether the site is still working in a year.
Watch
£49a month
Hosting watched, updates applied, backups taken, uptime and security monitored, one report a month in plain English. No edits.
Essential
£99a month
Watch, plus 30 minutes of edits a month and the owner dashboard.
Growth
£199a month
Essential, plus your Google profile managed, four seasonal campaigns a year, email deliverability watched, an hour of edits, every system you have installed hosted and supported, and an annual check on what your software is costing you.
Full
£299-£349a month
Growth, plus one experiment a month on what converts, two posts written, email sequences, automations monitored, same-day priority.
Watch is monitoring, not attention. It buys uptime, backups, updates and a report. The month you first ask me to change something is the month you move to Essential.
If you update the site yourself and nothing else is connected to it, Watch is enough. Do not buy Growth for a five-page site that never changes.

Running cost
Two bills for the same website
- Hosting and a domain: about £100 a year. That is the whole running cost.
- No licence fee. No usage fee. No cut of anything you sell or book.
- AI features that call an outside model: you pay the API bill at cost, and you see it.
- AI that runs on your own server: nothing. The data never leaves the building.
The site runs itself for pennies. Run is for when you want me watching it.
A website builder at £30, a booking app at £40, a review tool at £25. Every month, forever. Mine is one build price on your own hosting.
Terms
What makes it more
What moves it
- Custom features - anything that has to be built rather than configured.
- More than one language.
- [SLOT: third price raiser - "pages or products" recommended in the copy brief, awaiting confirmation]
How paying works
- Half to start, half at launch.
- No VAT. I am not registered in the UK or Lithuania, so the price you see is the price you pay.
- Priced in pounds here. Lithuanian prices are set separately, in euros, not converted.
- You own everything from the day it goes live.
Questions
What people ask before they call
Why do web designers’ prices vary so much?
Because "a website" describes a £300 template and a £4,000 build with equal accuracy. Ask what research, content and aftercare are inside the number - that is usually where the difference is hiding.
What makes the price go up?
Custom features, extra languages, and how many pages or products there are. Design taste does not move it; things that have to be built rather than configured do.
Are there monthly costs after launch?
Only hosting and a domain, about £100 a year, unless you want me watching the site - that starts at £49 a month. Nothing I build charges a licence fee or takes a commission.
Is there VAT on top?
No. I am not VAT registered in the UK or Lithuania, so the price quoted is the price invoiced.
Do I have to pay it all up front?
Half to start, half when it goes live.
When should I not hire you?
If you need three pages up this week and nothing after that, a builder will do it cheaper and you will not miss me. Come back when something needs to be connected, run or fixed.
